Would you like to work for the UK’s largest fire and rescue service? London Fire Brigade are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Events Manager to join their Communications department.
About the role and candidate:
If you have excellent communication and organisational skills, teamed with solid event management experience of delivering a wide variety of events, from an initial brief through to on-site delivery, this could be a fantastic opportunity for you.
You will be responsible for delivering a range of events, from long service award ceremonies and seminars through to a large-scale 3-day event at one of London’s leading venues, so experience of prioritising workloads, meeting tight deadlines and negotiating with external agencies and suppliers is essential.
We are looking for someone who demonstrates excellent attention to detail, with good budget management skills.
In line with the Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) employment checks will be completed for the successful person, which will include a basic criminal records check. The successful person will be required to declare any convictions for offences which are not spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a Disclosure Scotland Basic Disclosure will be undertaken before an appointment is confirmed.
