An exciting opportunity has become available for a Technical Production Manager to be an integral part of one of the largest international events of its kind, comprising an interactive exhibition, live events showcase and educational programme. Launching towards the end of year, your role within this skilled team is to plan, schedule and deliver a wide variety of features for the event, working with multiple stakeholders and suppliers. You will liaise with all exhibitors in the run up to the event, the appointed stand builders and venue to design and build the show as well as other infrastructure providers and will be responsible for taking ownership of the technical delivery onsite. You will contribute towards the successful management of the various technical production elements related to these such as scenic build, audio visual, lighting, rigging etc. The ideal candidate will have experience in successfully managing large scale events, and experience of successfully delivering event infrastructure for public events, exhibitions or conferences. You will have experience of implementing Health & Safety procedures and have been involved in selecting and managing contractors/suppliers to deliver outsourced work. You will also have been involved in setting and managing budgets. A working knowledge of CAD would be highly desirable, but not essential. If you are able to think creatively and solve problems, work on your own initiative and are flexible in working methods and ideas than this is an exciting new project to be a part of. This is a contract position lasting nine months.
