The Law Society represents solicitors in England and Wales. From negotiating with and lobbying the profession's regulators, government and other decision makers, to offering training and advice, we're here to help, protect and promote solicitors.
You will be required to work as part of a large, extremely busy team of 11 which includes three event specialists, four event officers, three event coordinators and one team administrator. You will be part of a smaller team that is comprised of an event specialist and an event officer. So while you will be expected to work well as a member of both teams, you will also be expected to work on your own initiative.
You will liaise with, and manage relationships with people at varying levels from a wide range of teams within the Law Society and external speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, delegates and suppliers. You will be expected to interact appropriately and communicate effectively with people from all levels from across the organisation as well as senior professionals who speak at and attend the events organised by the team. The team as a whole is responsible for organising more than 400 events a year.
