Showplace is a leading events and exhibition company, established for over 26 years, servicing clients mainly in the B2B environment.
We design, manage and deliver a wide range of services through our three divisions – outdoor temporary structures, roadshow trailers and indoor exhibition stands – and operate throughout the UK and Europe.
Our clients are leading players within their markets – including retail, automotive, construction and public sector – and demand the highest quality of service and product.
The current Sales Director plans to retire from the business within the next 12-18 months; consequently we are hiring a new Sales Director to replace his position over a staged exit period.
The successful candidate will have aspirations to drive the company further and secure substantial growth. Candidates should be highly motivated, target-oriented with a proven track record and well connected. A team player, with a clear strategic view of the events industry, you will have the capacity and energy to hit the ground running and drive growth from day one. You will have run a successful sales team and led onward sales and marketing to deliver long-term strategic growth.
Applicants will be at senior manager/director level and keen to take their next career step. Once proven, we would expect the right individual to progress their role within the company and acquire equity.
The successful candidate is likely to come from an exhibition/events background or have strong market knowledge whilst working in an agency.
