Event Director
A global event management and marketing agency in the technology industry seeks an experienced Event Director for a 6-12 month contract to take responsibility for a corporate event, including overseeing logistics, speaker, delegate and sponsorship management, as well as financial management. The ideal candidate should have experience of managing conferences and exhibitions with 1000+ delegates. Agency experience is essential, with comprehensive understanding of the B2B event management industry.

Responsibilities include:
  • Clearly direct and drive the team with clear decision making to deliver a seamless event
  • Ensure that the event services and solutions offered deliver ROI and solve client challenges
  • Offer clear strategic thought at all levels, understanding client needs, thinking outside the box and ensuring that the client is given quality direction at all times
  • Ensure that work is delegated appropriately and that the correct service levels can be provided to the client at all times
  • Manage the resource to ensure that workload is shared evenly across the team and that no individual team member is either over-burdened or under-utilised
  • Drive team synergy and positive team spirit to ensure your team feels supported, can execute and deliver assigned aspects of the client business plans on time and budget, has a clear understanding of team and individual goals
  • Corporate responsibility - accountable to the Board of Directors


Candidates must be able to offer the experience detailed above plus the availability to start this role in the first week of October. Due to the location of the offices, candidates will need a driver's licence and access to their own transport.
