Event Manager
A well know city venue is seeking a Commercial Event Manager to join their Events team and to work within the prestigious venue on a 12 month contract. You will be required to deliver events for their extensive external client list, including existing group clients and other corporate entities from around the world.



Responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the venues clients, to understand their requirements and to deliver accordingly to meet their expectations


  • Financial management and budget handling


  • Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers required to deliver events within the facility


  • To log all event detail in internal booking systems to ensure all data relating to the events is captured and delivered by the relevant facilities management teams


  • Developing and maintaining successful working relationships with new and existing clients, to ensure a high level of repeat business is maintained


  • Assisting with incoming sales calls and enquiries for bookings, advising clients on appropriate space, technology and catering to suit their requirements


  • To represent the department by attending industry events and client lunches


  • To represent the department by attend meetings with external suppliers, internal support services and business briefings


  • Assisting on other projects as when necessary




The successful candidate must demonstrate prior experience in event/logistics management or in a high profile client services environment.



You will have strong communication skills and show high attention to detail. You will be a strong team player who is willing to help colleagues and clients reach their goals, and perform whatever tasks are required to get the job done while be driven to work on their own.



A keen interest in technology and the ability to use new equipment is useful. In addition sales experience is beneficial but not essential.
