The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the nation’s heart charity. We help save lives with information, patient care and pioneering research in to Coronary Heart Disease, the nation’s biggest killer.

Working as a Regional Events Organiser you will take pleasure in being a part of our events team, who play an essential role in the BHF's national success and work tirelessly with community supporters and volunteers to increase revenue and support for our vital cause.

Based in our Edinburgh Office, you will manage events throughout Scotland and northern England, working in collaboration with our Communications, Press and PR and Regional events team. You will also work closely with the Regional Head of Events to establish, develop, manage and promote existing and new regional events as well as develop local contacts with individuals and companies to seek sponsorship and support.

As such you should have proven mass participation event management experience, such as running events and bike rides (preferably within a charity or sporting field), experience of setting and managing budgets and a proven track record of achieving monetary income targets (above £20k per event). You should also possess excellent communication and organisation skills. Regional travel is required for this role and as such a full UK drivers licence and method of transport are required as is the ability to work weekends and evenings when required.
