An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Telesales Manager to be part of the launch of a new division within an exhibition/event services environment. Your role will be to proactively generate new business from event exhibitors, covering products and services including media, stand graphics, shell scheme, electrics etc. This will require the generation of new leads from exhibitors and the development of existing accounts. The role holder will also be responsible for the supervision of a telesales and sales support team. You will have proven ability in lead qualification techniques and the ability to identify high vs low potential business.

Main responsibilities include:
  • Achieving team and personal revenue targets annually, as agreed with the Executive Director, achieving year on year growth in both revenue and profit.
  • Proposing and implementing strategies to grow revenue and collaborate with the Director to develop an integrated approach to the growth of sales to exhibitors.
  • Preparing a strategic plan for key events, proactively highlighting opportunities for growth and developing a plan of action for achieving revenue targets.
  • Effectively managing and developing existing exhibitor clients to ensure high levels of repeat business and account growth.
  • Maximising and growing target markets and/or key areas where revenue growth has decreased or areas of opportunity exist.
  • Monitoring progress and conversion of sales opportunities across the team.
  • Attending networking events and industry related conferences as required.
  • Managing and motivating a team of enthusiastic staff to be creative and innovative with a commercial approach to their work.
  • Developing strong relations with clients through face-to-face activity and telephone sales, using every opportunity to create new business contacts and potential leads.

Successful candidates will have previous experience in a dynamic telesales or call centre environment, ideally within the events industry. Experience of using a CRM system and forecasting and analysis of sales data are essential, as well as experience of lead qualification techniques and processes.
