A stylish, centrally-located venue, popular with event organisers, seeks a Business Development Manager to be responsible for client account development and to be proactively working on the acquisition of new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities
  • Research potential business target clients to identify and plan the sales approach and proactively target new business opportunities.
  • Explore existing clients to ensure the company has identified all opportunities for revenue generation from each account/client by building and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Follow up sales leads, undertaking meetings on/off site, presentations and competitor venue viewings.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of proposals and quotations for new business
  • Develop an excellent knowledge of the local market and implement a local prospecting plan to develop new business
  • Assist with and participate in corporate hospitality and promotional activity where required, both internally and externally
  • Participate in sales forecasting, planning, researching and goal setting for the venue
  • Contribute to the venue business planning process working with the Sales Manager
  • Be involved with cross-venue or corporate sales projects as required
