A stunning hotel in a beautiful location in Surrey seeks a Meeting and Events Manager to head up a team of three, managing the meetings department in a property with 15 meeting rooms of varying size, with outdoor space. Managing a large portfolio of events including c60 weddings a year, conferences, social events, dinners and smaller meetings, you will be responsible for planning and organising events and meetings from enquiry stage right through to post event.

The role will require some proactive sales as well as a successful enquiry conversion strategy. You will be active in trying to convert the bigger business in this property and creating an account management system to ensure repeat business. You will have excellent diary management skills and the ability to network effectively in the market as well as build strong relationships with venue finding agencies.

You will be an enthusiastic and inspiring manager and will bring that management style to your interactions with your team, supporting and guiding them to ensure that all bookings are handled and communicated efficiently and excellent customer service delivered. You must have experience of working with the Opera system, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent attention to detail and be sales and goal orientated.
