Join this leading Association within the travel sector who are looking to bring in a fabulous Events Executive to support their busy Events Team, to help them deliver their busy and growing programme of varied events. (1 year mat but growing team so potential for future role).

Leading membership association within the travel and leisure sector - deliver seminars, conferences and large scale events for their members and the travel trade.

An exciting opportunity for an events executive to join this Association's growing Conferences and Events team on a 1 year mat cover. They're well into their five year growth plan, and events have grown from 12 to 50 over the past two years! You'll be supporting the Event Managers to deliver their growing programme of seminars, conferences and large-scale events. A key purpose of this role is to provide excellent delegate and speaker administration and liaison for events, and ensure excellent customer service is given to customers at all stages of the event process. As well as dealing with suppliers including venues, and co-ordinating event materials. You'll be able to take ownership of smaller events as you progress. They're a close and friendly team, with a great working culture. This role is suitable for an ambitious graduate, with one year's event experience (ideally within an association or travel related), who is keen to take the next step in their career in events. NB 1 year mat cover contract, but as the team is growing there could be potentially be possibilities after.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Speaker management - manage relationshiop with senior level speakers
  • Event and delegate administration - joining instructtions, badging, delegate packs, speaker biogs and presentations
  • Event Management - source venues and liaise with event suppliers (AV, printers etc)
  • Work with Event Manager to ensure correct set up of venues on the day
  • On the day event management - manage the registration process for delegates at conferences, management of speakers and sponsors
  • CRM database administration
  • Post event administration
  • Budget mangement
  • Regional meetings support and administration - co-ordinate dates and venues
  • Support events team

Graduate or equivalent, with minimum 1 years experience in events. Team player, great support person with excellent customer service focus, great admin and highly organised. A quick and efficient learner with excellent IT skills, and ideally experience within a similar role (association or commercial events) so you can hit the ground running…

Key requirements:
  • Good educational qualifications eg 2:1 degree graduate
  • You must have a minimum 1 years' experience working in the events sector, with previous event admin or co-ordination experience - ideally within an association or commercial events environment
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office, CRM)
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of events and the travel industry.
  • Excellent time management skills, the ability to prioritise, juggle projects and meet strict deadlines.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Able to provide excellent customer service - confident manner, able to deal with enquiries and senior speakers.
  • Well organised, able to plan workload and juggle varied activities.
  • A team player, self-motivated and autonomous worker.
