A publisher in the technology sector seeks a Digital Sales Manager to promote and commercialise their suite of digital platforms across relevant global vertical markets. The role will predominantly involve driving new business development and building an account base of new clients to grow and further develop the digital offering - this might include webinars, white paper/lead generation, or breakfast briefings. Leads will be generated by a targeted and fine-tuned marketing plan, however emphasis is put on self-lead generation. This role offers the opportunity to lead your own department as your client base develops.

Key responsibilities:

  • Research, identify and develop new commercial opportunities
  • Cold call and close new business, whilst managing and retaining repeats/rebooks
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior level decision makers, using a highly consultative sales process
  • Learn and adapt to a new vertical market quickly - develop a strong understanding of the key challenges affecting the end user and vendor market
  • Work closely with the campaign and editorial teams to fulfil client expectations
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline alongside accurate forecasting of personal sales
  • Be a key contributor to the strategy of new and existing events and help develop the overall sales strategy and digital suite
  • Lead from the front with sales and inspire others in the team
  • Report directly to the CEO/Chairman
