One of London's high profile traditional venues and visitor attractions seeks a Business Development Manager for a 12 month fixed term, to continue to increase awareness of venue hire opportunities and increase revenue for the Corporate Events Department with proactive and reactive sales as well as marketing.

You will be selling across their stunning portfolio of spaces from the private dining and meeting rooms, conference facilities and the stunning outdoor facilities. The venue attracts exciting luxury brands and event organisers and would be a fantastic addition to your CV.

Role and Responsibilities will include:

Events Sales and Business Development
  • Proactively market the Corporate Events offer, promoting and securing new business through offsite meetings, presentations, networking and business development
  • Identify new markets to drive business to through a series of networking forums and trade shows
  • Work alongside the Head of Events to analyse sales patterns, identify potential areas for growth and deliver new strategies
  • Develop a strategy alongside the cultural programme to develop additional revenue streams for the department
  • Ensure that processes are effective to ensure yearly comparisons and to maintain a strong understanding of which marketing activity is most effective
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with key venue finding agencies and clients


Marketing
  • Working closely with the Head of Events to lead all marketing activity, including the creation of newsletters and promotional campaigns and managing the relationship with the external PR team
  • Responsible for the annual marketing budget, thinking creatively to maximise ROI with minimal expenditure
  • Develop compelling sales materials
  • Lead and deliver social media campaigns


The ideal candidate will have strong commercial awareness ideally within the cultural or artistic venue sector, with flawless attention to detail and excellent communication and presentation skills.
