Give us the sound and vision to make our message heard.

Engineering is at the heart of our nation and our future: transforming ideas and materials into global infrastructure, products and services that increase the wealth and health of our economy and society. As the UK’s national academy for engineering, we bring together the discipline’s finest minds to promote excellence and champion innovation.

Enjoying constant exposure to external and internal clients, you will ensure that we use our fully integrated conference rooms and boardrooms to their fullest extent. To this end, you will set up, support and operate AV equipment, utilise advanced audio technology including mixing desks, goosenecks and radio mics, and take ownership of our videoconferencing infrastructure, based around Skype and Powwownow. This will involve proactive testing and user training, with strong emphasis on rapidly remedying any breakdowns – so you will be central to our smooth operation and crucial to our communications.

An experienced sound engineer (including the Yahama TF1), you will possess highly developed technical skills and in-depth knowledge of speakers, amplifiers, LCD displays, servers, projectors and more. What’s more, you will be fully aware of technological advances and capable of recommending upgrades and new purchases, and you will bring a meticulous and methodical approach to fault finding.

Finally, you will be outgoing and diplomatic, with a customer-focused approach and the determination to go the extra mile every day.
