Senior Events Manager (in-house corporate - law firm)
Permanent role for a top-class B2B Senior Events professional (Head of Events / Senior Events Manager / Event Director) with an in-house corporate background and experience of leading an events division!
This Senior Events Manager vacancy is with a top international law firm (based in London) and the position will see you heading up the central events department, leading the team, working closely with senior partners and BD internal stakeholders to strategically plan and deliver (from concept to completion) corporate & client entertaining events both in London and across Europe. You'll report into the Director of Marketing & Business Development and will manage a medium sized events & hospitality team all of whom work closely with the firm's partners and senior-level stakeholders to plan and deliver a range of internal and external events including dinners, client entertaining, corporate hospitality, team building, training based off-sites and creative bespoke drinks receptions.
Key responsibilities will include:-
- Staff management & team leadership
- Provide strategic event advice & guidance across the company
- Event Management (initial brief to on-site delivery)
- Client liaison (internal & external)
- Event logistics & on-site event management
- Budgeting & financial management
- Venue & supplier negotiation and management
- Develop and implement processes, systems & best practice documentation
- Post event analysis & detailed metric reporting
You'll be a Senior events professional with circa 8-10 years' UK & European B2B events related experience and a proven track record of leading an events department along with the hands-on planning and delivering of dinners, receptions, client entertaining, corporate hospitality, seminars, retreats, training events, team building and off-sites.
Legal sector or in-house corporate / professional services experience is essential and you must have experience of organising events in Europe in addition to good knowledge of UK venues & suppliers.
You'll have the confidence and breadth of knowledge to work effectively with a range of internal clients (partners, associates and business development colleagues) to identify, advise and recommend event solutions for their specific business needs as well as taking events forward in terms of the planning, logistics and implementation/delivery.
