Senior Event Manager
We’re a young company with some pretty impressive clients and big ambitions. Based down south (Hackney) and up north (York) our brilliantly creative and innovative team work to create, develop and deliver mass participation events and campaigns for a whole host of charities, brands and commercial clients. massive was founded in 2013 to bring delivery expertise together with strategic thinking, insight and creativity to the mass participation events market.
Our brilliant bunch of partners include Adidas, Adnams, Aldi, Americas Cup, Asda… And that’s just the A’s. So far we’ve developed a whole host of successful fundraising strategies, delivered numerous mass participation events, produced a number of brand awareness campaigns, launched award winning new events, toured the country and developed innovative new participant led activation campaigns as well as provided logistical support for international sporting events.
And as our business grows we need our team to grow with it.
You are (in no particular order)..

You have previous experience at management level within another agency, organiser/promoter, charity, brand or governing body within mass participation events sector.
You have the ability to deliver mass participation events at a high level.
A good understanding of what it takes develop and deliver successful mass participation events that exceed expectations and deliver an amazing event experience for the participant
Proven event planning and management experience in the mass participation sector
A good knowledge of event production, logistics and operations in both pre-planning and live delivery
Budgeting and financial management skills (upwards of £100k +)
The ability to excite clients and project teams about your ideas, you’re a great communicator, who’s passionate about their work
Competence in IT, (CAD, Illustrator preferable)
Full clean driving license
Previous experience with liaising with local authorities and engaging with stakeholders at safety advisory groups or similar
Previous experience working on events across the EMEA preferable, but not essential
Managing, leading and developing our mass participation events
Responsibility for operational delivery through to strategic development as required Setting, monitoring, managing, reconciling project budgets
Negotiating with, liaising and briefing suppliers
Managing relationships with clients and supporting business development including pitching
Recruiting, briefing, motivating and managing permanent and temporary staff
Ensuring all project documentation is up to date and correct and deliverables are met Working in the UK and internationally
