Account Manager
A very high profile state of the art venue in London seeks an experienced Account Manager to join their award winning team. The main focus of the role will be to maintain excellent relationships with existing clients, nurturing that business as well as working proactively to generate new corporate business through third party agency accounts. £32k-£36k + 25% bonus

The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of developing and executing corporate sales strategies with a solid track record in managing a diverse portfolio of corporate business. The ability to demonstrate a solid track record of business development experience within the corporate events industry (from both new and existing clients), using a destination marketing approach and consultative selling techniques. Significant experience in securing preferred supplier status with corporate clients and the ability to identify high vs low potential business is necessary to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities include:
  • Account manage and develop existing clients to ensure high levels of repeat business and account growth, achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and effectively manage client relationships from initial enquiry to post event.
  • Develop new business relationships (through external partners, third party agencies and direct clients).
  • Seek new business opportunities, driving marketing activities in conjunction with the Marketing team.
  • Take responsibility for closing high yield business efficiently, focusing on low volume, high revenue to meet and exceed individual, team and company financial targets.
  • Maintain a network of contacts, partners and industry bodies that enhances opportunities for new and repeat business.
  • Identify appropriate situations to up-sell the venue's products to increase overall yields.
  • In developing the key account portfolio, identify key agencies, organisations and events that should be targeted.
  • Build detailed knowledge and trends of the audiences your target clients want to reach and cross-profile against existing audiences already attending events at the venue.
  • Attend networking events and industry related conferences.
