Event Manager
One of London's high profile traditional venues and visitor attractions seeks an Event Manager to join the Corporate Events department with specific responsibility for the professional management of all aspects of corporate events including commercial, site-wide exhibitions - from point of contract through to execution, supporting the team with the delivery and operations of bespoke events.

  • 2- 3 years previous experience in a similar role is essential, preferably within a unique venue with public spaces
  • Large scale event experience
  • Experience of managing and working with a wide range of event suppliers with the ability to oversee, devise and manage operational procedures to the highest standards

  • Demonstrable ability to think and plan strategically and operationally with a forward-looking and creative approach.
  • A strong ability to multitask.
  • Highly organised and highly motivated with an ability to contribute expertise in a diplomatic and patient manner.
  • Able to work successfully across teams and hierarchies and build relationships at all levels including excellent interpersonal skills and evidence of ability to influence decision-making.
  • Flawless attention to detail.
  • Excellent prioritisation and time management skills, coupled with ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to use all MS packages and ability to use a CRM and diary package such as 'Priava' desirable.
  • Strong previous experience in a similar role is essential and preferably within a unique venue with public spaces.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Good numerical skills.
  • Experienced in liaison and building excellent rapport with clients, both private & corporate, managing their expectations to the highest level and with a strong customer focus.
  • Experienced in managing and working with a wide range of event suppliers, including onsite and external contractors.
  • Health & Safety management, including writing of risk assessments.

Ideally the successful candidate will be/ have:
  • IOSH and/or NEBOSH training
  • Personal License Holder
