Love working on large, complex events? This is a great role joining the team delivering a major international expo within the media industry, and it's associated event programme.

Leading organisation working within the media production and broadcast sector - they deliver a major annual flagship industry expo which attracts over 55,000 attendees, over 1,500 exhibitors - and which is acknowledged as the major show case and discussion hub for the sector. You'll be joining the experienced team who deliver this major international event, and you will be key to the success of the of the project - and what a project! Over 1,000 exhibitors, across five main areas at a major international venue - plus the varied event programme of activities around it. A fantastic project to work on - both pre and on-site. Great event management role on a major event working with a brilliant team!

Responsibilities include:
  • Work closely with the Events Manager to implement event project and communications plans, manage pre-event progress
  • Manage a team of event executives, allocating specific responsibilitis for each aspect of the event including the venue logistics, speakers, exhibitors, equipment, services suppilers - as well as liaising with internal teams.
  • Manage key relationships with exhibitors, speakers, VIP guests, venue, contractors and suppliers
  • Oversee event team on site (international location - multi day event)

You'll be an experienced Events Manager - with a track record of managing various types of event including conferences and exhibitions. You'll ideally have experience of working on fairly major expo/exhibition events, which combine a number of subsidiary events. You'll have solid H&S understanding and experience of managing budgets. As well as your previous event experience, you'll be an excellent communicator, a good leader and team player - and enjoy the excitement and challenges of working on large scale events.

Key requirements:
  • Proven experience working on large scale events
  • Excellent project management, event logistics and event planning skills
  • Experience of working in a team, and overseeing/delegating
  • Excellent customer service and account management skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills, stakeholder management
  • Confident communicator - orally and in writing, who can engage with senior stakeholders inside and outside the organisation
  • Flexible, proactive, clear sighted, calm and composed
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, enjoys being a key part of a large team
  • Can go on-site for the duration of the event (dates will be supplied during the application process if appropriate)
