Special Events Manager

The Special Events team at Unicef UK is responsible for delivering cross-organisation prospecting, cultivation, stewardship and fundraising events for a high value philanthropy, trusts, foundations, corporate, sports, advocacy and volunteer/ambassador audiences. With ambitious plans to grow and develop across all activities with new and innovative cultivation and fundraising ideas, we are seeking to recruit a Special Events Manager.
In this role, you will produce and manage an annual calendar of donor focused cause-led events. You will be responsible for maximising income potential through a variety of event channels and you will have specific responsibility for delivering a portfolio of Unicef UK owned events. You will also line manage a Special Events Coordinator who is responsible for their own portfolio of events.
To succeed in this role, you will have significant experience of delivering events for a high value audience, generating substantial income with a strong ROI. You will have proven success in recruiting and managing high-level event committees to a financial return, prospecting and securing event sponsorship, gift in kind, contra support or other partnerships, and you will excel at building and nurturing relationships with supporters and suppliers and other partners and stakeholders.

This role is currently based in Farringdon. From Summer 2018, Unicef UK will relocate to Stratford (zone 2). Our new offices will be close to the new Crossrail station and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Stratford is also served by the Jubilee and Central Lines, DLR, London Overground, TFL Rail and National Rail services.
