An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Event Sales Manager with this prestigious members club and event venue in the heart of London. The main objective is to head up the venue function for this organisation, proactively generating income from events and conference hire by developing relationships with agencies, raising the profile of the venue within the event sector through networking and marketing .

With a strong commercial mind-set, you must be able to identify opportunities for revenue growth and then deliver on these opportunities through a sales strategy, sound financial planning and forecasting, and impressive marketing skills of venue event spaces.

Leading the team of 2 Event Managers, you will ensure that the reactive sales strategy is effective and events are run efficiently and with excellent customer service for the external and internal clients .

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Good experience in proactive sales/business development in events/hospitality
  • Strong, demonstrable leadership qualities
  • Self-starter, ambitious and driven to succeed
  • Ability to work to strict pressured deadlines
  • Creative and innovative in thinking and approach
  • Motivated by a passion for quality and great service delivery
  • A "can-do" attitude
  • Exhibitions/conference experience
  • Experience of the London MICE market
  • Partnership working at both operational and strategic levels
  • Database management, CRM and relevant emails and direct mailings to different audiences
  • Experience with PMS systems and associated IT software
  • Strong social skills with an existing business network
  • Team player
  • Ambition to grow the role in-line with the aspirations of the Senior Management team
