Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Learning Events Assistant with excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills to support their busy programme of workshops, webinars, tailored support events and high profile conferences.

Research in Practice (RiP) and Research in Practice for Adults (RiPfA) work with clients across children’s services, adult health and social care across the UK, supporting them to develop an evidence-informed approach to their work. Their focus is on using evidence from research and practice to improve practice, policy and services in order to achieve positive outcomes for people of all ages.

About the role 
You will work closely with the Learning Events Co-ordinator and liaise with venues and associates to organise workshops and events. You will act as the first point of contact for delegates, ensuring that their details are accurately recorded in our client's events database and manage all communication with them so they receive accurate event information.

You will contribute to the quality assurance of our learning events by:

  • Ensuring that events materials are accurately formatted and prepared.
  • Producing delegate packs including: copying materials, collating packs and organising couriers in line with our internal processes.
  • Attending and setting up events and liaising with the venue to ensure it runs smoothly.
  • Inputting evaluations and using the events database to collate statistics on attendance and delegate feedback.

About you 
You will have worked in a similar role, be creative and have a solution-focused approach to managing competing demands. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and delegates.
