Event Director / Senior Producer - Leading Creative Experience

Looking for an energetic & dynamic Event Director / Senior Producer to head up the events department of a unique creative agency - freelance or permanent position!

This event company leads the way in contemporary experience, design and architectural installations. They work with some of the world's largest companies as well as HNW private individuals to deliver mind bogglingly astonishing events, experiences, projects, art/cultural installations, promotional activations and international touring spectaculars.

ROLE
This Event Director role is a senior events position reporting in to the board that will see you take full ownership of the events offering and events department of this unique events agency in either an interim freelance contract capacity or permanent position longer term. You will provide strategic and practical leadership for the company's diverse range of live events (all of which are highly creative and ambitious events that provide vivid, unique and unforgettable experiences for guests).
The role will involve managing the events team as well as overseeing the event design, pre-planning, technical production (AV, 3D build and special effects) and execution of all events (i.e. taking the core content, devising the event programme, recruiting the necessary production team and managing the operational & delivery process - in a nutshell bringing the whole thing to life in an event environment!).
As Event Director you will be a senior member of the company and therefore this role will involve managing internal teams, external production partners and actively converting leads and contributing to new business. YOU
You'll be a creative and dynamic senior-level live events professional with a proven background covering strategic & practical leadership, commercial & financial management, converting new business leads into confirmed live events/projects, concept to completion events management, event design and AV technical production. You'll have an agency background and a minimum of 7-8 years creative/immersive events experience (with at least 4 years' experience of managing an events team).
You'll need to have a truly broad ranging skill set of end2end event management, technical production, operations, staff management, schedules & running orders, H&S, on-site event management, financial & budget management (up to £1M), project management, converting leads into confirmed bookings, pitching, client servicing and divisional leadership (resource, P&L, strategy and development).
From a personality point of view, you'll need to be confident, open-minded, fun, tenacious, a creative thinker and problem solver with bags of energy and vibrancy who can spin on the spot (with several plates!) and someone who can act as "The Conductor of the Experience" in terms of pulling everything and everyone (internal depts & external suppliers) together to create and deliver something amazing!
