THE ROLE



Due to continued growth and success there is now the opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join their team and drive the business forward, selling the full services of the agency across a broad range of sectors including technology, pharma, financial services and retail. A broad role responsibilities will include:



* Developing sales strategy inline with business objectives

* Actively developing business from new clients

* Generating new leads and converting leads from marketing activities

* Working with internal teams and the wider business

* Identifying new opportunities

* Developing business with existing clients and upselling

* Developing RFP's and proposals

* Pitching for business

* Building long lasting relationships

* Networking at events and trade shows





THE CANDIDATE



The ideal candidate will have a proven background in seeking out and winning business ideally gained from working within an event agency environment, although other backgrounds will also be considered. Candidates need to have a solid understanding of the events market and have experience of creating RFP responses and proposals. Candidates must have strengths in developing relationships and identifying opportunities, as well as pitching for business. A delivery background in this area would be useful but more importantly is ability to build instant rapport and develop long term relationships with clients. Any language skills would be an added benefit but are not essential for the role.



This role has huge scope for development so candidates with the ambition to develop a team around them and drive the department forward would be ideal!
