Royal Museums Greenwich is one of the UK’s top ten visitor attractions, and home to four unique sites – the National Maritime Museum, the Royal Observatory, the Queen’s House and the Cutty Sark.

Working collaboratively with the Event Sales & Business Development Manager, you will proactively build client relationships to improve event sales and repeat business. To do this you will have to develop excellent knowledge of our venues, contact new clients weekly and build venue awareness with new audiences. You will also oversee product developments aimed at promoting our events to grow venue sales business. As part of this, you will write and collate content for our monthly e-newsletters, seek promotions from suppliers to boost sales in quiet periods and develop business relationships with events suppliers.

Using excellent customer service skills, you will manage complex and bespoke enquires whilst considering RMG’s unique surroundings. Alongside this, you will be developing ways to refine, streamline and improve customer service and sales procedures. You will also be responsible for reconciling monthly accounts performance, using both the events database and central financial databases to track return on investment for all marketing activities and produce monthly data and financial reports.

With demonstrable experience of working at an historic site and an understanding of unique venues, you will have the passion and desire to work in the events industry with excellent marketing and social media skills. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written is essential, alongside confidence in MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
