COMPANY
Global live events and communications agency, known for its leading edge creativity and innovation within the live event sector and it's ground breaking work for major corporates and brands. This role sees you working in the talented and experienced Automotive team, based the Midlands - you'll be working on the global events and autoshow programme for prestigious and exciting automotive brand. As well as working at fabulous Midlands based office, you'll have regular access and exposure to the over 60 internal creative and technical specialists at the London HQ. ROLE
Your key responsibility is to provide support for the delivery of the technical and production requirements of the varied events and autoshow programme internationally for this hugely prestigious and exciting automotive brand. Although this is a support role working with a team of more senior Production Managers, it is very much a hands-on role involving internal, supplier and client contact as well as periods onsite for show delivery. The role covers all areas of production and technical management of events/autoshows including construction, automation, AV, transport and logistics, scheduling, health and safety etc.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acquiring costs from suppliers, and creating cost comparisons
- Researching technical and construction products and services
- Co-ordinate logistics arrangements for production related crew staffing
- Work with and support creative production teams to develop solutions for live event situations
- Assisting with the scheduling of the production process, pre and for on-site timelines and activities
- Liaise with venues and carry out site visits, reporting back as to suitability for projects
- Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, and ensurance new, innovative and cutting edge products and services are introduced
-Under the supervision of the Production Manager be responsible for load lists, shipping documentation etc.
- Assist with the management of Health & Safety

CANDIDATE
You'll already have some experience (minimum 1 year) working in a live event, theatre, and/or technical production environment, and have a basic understanding of technical staging, AV and construction process. You are a learner, and a grafter, who loves working within a creative environment, not scared of new challenges, and looking to build a career within events production management. You're keen and able to travel, and have a calm, relaxed personality, but with a good level of natural confidence and assertiveness - good organisational and IT skills, as well as a strong interest in technical production and build - and happy to work in a busy, demanding and innovative creative environment, often working to challenging deadlines. Above all you are a 'make it happen' person, and love the creative challenge of seeing a problem as an opportunity to shine!

You'll need to have:
  • Basic understanding of technical staging, AV and construction processes
  • A qualification in Technical Theatre or similar highly desirable
  • Desire to progress a career in technical events production management
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, team orientated
  • Understanding of the budgeting process
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Basic knowledge of current UK and European Health and Safety regulations
  • Hardworking, reliable, attentive to detail
  • Calm, collected and approachable persona - even under extreme pressure
  • Flexible and adaptable to new challenge and requirements
