Fundraising Product Manager

Dementia devastates lives. By 2021, 1 million people will be living with the condition. But dementia won't win. Until the day we find a cure, Alzheimer's Society will be here for anyone affected by dementia - wherever they are, whatever they're going through. Everything we do is informed and inspired by them.

We are the UK's leading dementia charity. Every day, we work tirelessly to find new treatments and, ultimately, a cure for dementia. We provide expert information, training, and support services to all those who need our help. And we are creating a more dementia-friendly society so people with the condition can live without fear and prejudice

About the role

We are looking to recruit an experienced fundraising product manager to work as part of the Fundraising team specifically project managing Cupcake Day and Elf Day, a couple of the Alzheimer’s society mass participation fundraising events.

Cupcake Day is an annual nationwide fundraising event, in just its third year, with a £1.6m income target through 36,000 participants this year. Elf Day is a newer initiative for the Mass team having been tested within regional fundraising.

The Mass Participation Fundraising Product Manager will lead the planning, development and implementation of the Cupcake Day, Elf Day and future products campaigns’ ensuring it is in line with external market trends and meets growth objectives.

The main area of responsibility will be to develop and project manage the event, working as part of a team, delivering all aspects of the projects including marketing and communications, supporter journeys and retention, customer care, website development and corporate partnerships.

There will be line management responsibilities and the need to work across the organisation and manage multiple internal and external stakeholders.

About you

Mass Participation Fundraising products are crucial to the fundraising strategy and our support to people affected by dementia, so we are looking for a fundraising professional, with a strong background working with agencies, internal teams and multiple audiences and who is highly motivated, organised and enthusiastic.

Working in a fast paced and responsive environment, you will possess good time management and negotiation skills. Good communication skills are a must for this role as you will be engaging with colleagues at all levels across the Society as well as members of the public and agencies.

With your strong attention to detail, pro-active nature and ability to build successful relationships, you will quickly establish yourself as a key member of the Mass Participation Events team.

Our employees work hard every day to make a true difference in people's lives. We are proud to support them with a range of benefits, recognition and many options for working agilely. All contributing to a strong work life balance. We also have various learning programmes to support you in your development and help you grow to realise your potential and shape a career with Alzheimer's Society.
