The role

This is a rare opportunity to manage the events team at London College of Fashion, UAL. You will play a pivotal role within the College’s communications department and as part of the wider Internal and External Relations function for the College.

You will work to create and manage a busy programme of events that showcase the College in a creative and innovative way, promoting the College to a wide range of audiences.

Working in a fast paced environment and alongside academic colleagues, you will devise appropriate showcases for LCF, in line with departmental and wider College strategic objectives. You will be hands-on in the delivery of these events, working to a budget, and utilising project management skills and experience in delivering a variety of events to ensure events are planned and executed effectively.

You will have responsibility for the activities of the Events Team and, working closely with colleagues, will ensure excellent communication of events as well as careful and timely evaluation. You will have good management and leadership skills and be able to motivate and keep people working together under pressure.

Your profile 

You will have a relevant degree qualification and experience in a comparable post. You will have the ability to manage a varied and full programme of events within small and large scale venues. You will be an experienced communicator and negotiator and used to delivering projects with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Experience of working in a fashion and events setting is desirable. You will have experience of managing people, time and resources effectively, continually reviewing progress to improve efficiency and to ensure that targets are achieved in line with objectives and within budget.
