Job Details
An iconic venue in London is looking to recruit an Event Manager to be responsible for a number of medium to large sized events including music, live sport and exhibitions. You will also assist the Senior Event Manager and Director of Event Operations in developing the in-house event programme and outdoor event strategy.
Please note this is not an entry level role. Demonstrable event management experience is essential, particularly within the large scale events arena.
Responsibilities include:
Managing from client briefing through to delivery all processes, procedures and operational requirements associated with nominated events
Managing outdoor events across the site
Providing operational front of house support on nominated events
Assisting the department with the preparation of event materials including layout plans, maps, access routes, costings etc.
Acting as a point of contact for clients and all operational enquiries
Ensuring the swift receipt and review of risk assessments, method statements and other supporting Health & Safety documents
Ensuring that each event operates within the guidelines, wherever reasonably practicable
Producing detailed pre and post event budget sheets
Carrying out with efficiency all the finance-related processes and procedures required for each event
Attending management, department and event specific meetings with colleagues, clients and contractors
Assisting the Senior Event Manager and Director of Event Operations with the creation and implementation of creative and innovative event strategies
You will be a team player who is committed to delivering exceptional event experiences, with a sense of humour and a willingness to get your hands dirty. This role requires significant experience in an events management role and venue operations experience. You should have the confidence to build key stakeholder relationships and the ability to hit the ground running and become a key member of the team overnight. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Health and Safety policies and procedures and be flexible to work weekends and evenings. Ideally you will hold an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification and will be able to analyse CAD documents.
