c. £37,000 – £42,000, dependent on skills and experience (A higher salary might be available for an outstanding candidate)

This is an exciting and newly created opportunity for an experienced Events Manager to play a key role in the delivery of a variety of events at Uppingham School.

The role has been created to enable the School to not only build and improve on the events which are currently part of the annual calendar – from Visiting Days, Sporting Events, the Leavers’ Ball, Conferences and our flagship ‘Speech Day’ event - but to also introduce new and innovative ways of engaging with our target audiences that will significantly impact their engagement and relationships with the School.

With your outstanding project management and interpersonal skills, you will develop a vision for the School’s events and manage all logistics and supplier relations, ensuring all aspects are organised professionally and reflect the high standards and ambitions of one of the leading schools in the UK.

It is anticipated that you will have experience in managing small to large-scale events within the events or hospitality profession and have an outstanding track record. A flexible approach will be key, as some events will take place on weekends and during evenings.

In return, we can offer a variety of benefits, such as:

  • 50% contribution to premiums for the School’s private health scheme
  • Free membership of the School’s state of the art Sports Centre (£15 annual joining fee for full-time members of staff)
  • Free staff lunches in term-time
  • Staff fees concessions
