Job Details

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and organised Events Manager within one of the country's leading trade associations. You will be working on a variety of dynamic and evolving events including awards ceremonies, conferences and exhibitions. This role is a fixed 9 month maternity cover with the potential to go permanent.

Experience required
  • Able to put together engaging events that delight attendees but also adhere to the objectives of backers/supporters
  • Able to maximise the profitability of an event by adhering to a set budget
  • Able to proactively find/liaise with sponsors
  • Able to negotiate with third party suppliers and potential partners to gain discounts or advantages for association members
  • Able to work creatively with designers/agencies/printers to create event brand
  • Ability to use Dotmailer (or similar system) to be able to promote events.
  • Competent in social marketing to promote the event
  • Able to deal well with difficult situations that can arise at events
  • Ability to communicate well with management/report stats etc
  • Competent in Microsoft Suite


The successful candidate must have taken ownership of the budgeting, negotiation and delivery of their own events, particularly awards ceremonies, and ideally have an understanding of the promotion and marketing of the event and the programmes that support that.
