Global cosmetics company are looking for a highly organised, expert Event Manager to join their UK team, to deliver sales conferences, incentives and marketing communications. INTERVIEWING NOW!

The Company
Global cosmetics company with a fantastic history and culture - at the heart of their business is their UK wide direct selling team of Beauty Consultants - and their exciting programme of internal events, incentives and communications is key to driving their performance and success!

THE ROLE
This is a brilliant role, putting you right at the heart of the company. You'll be the in-house Events Specialist, working alongside the Marketing & PR Specialist. Your main responsibility will be managing the delivery of their varied events programme, which includes their annual sales force events (leadership conference, seminars etc) and their sales incentives to inspirational locations. As well as being the internal Event 'expert', you'll work closely with the Marketing & PR Specialist assisting on the wider marketing communications programme, incentivising and recognising their team, as well as communicating new product information and promotions. Alongside your core event focus, you'll have specific responsibility for delivering their monthly newsletter, so you'll be a good proof reader, and experienced managing print suppliers, as well as pulling together content etc. Event-wise, you'll be responsible operationally and logistically, and also look after scripting, presentations, agendas etc. so you'll have a strategic and creative understanding alongside your delivery expertise, as well as the confidence to direct the senior management team and co-ordinate their input.
Key responsibilities
  • In-house Event expert, responsible for delivery of varied event programme - conferences, incentives etc
  • Budget and supplier management, and hands end to end event management
  • Manage agendas, scripts and presentations
  • Work closely with Marketing & PR Specialist to assist on marketing communications, including delivery of salesforce newsletter
  • Be the in-house Events expert


The Candidate
You're experienced in delivering a wide range of events, including conferences, and incentives, dealing with venues, suppliers, agencies, international DMCs… You're highly organized, on the ball - good at planning ahead, and with the confidence to brief and direct other members of the Head Office team. As well as being able to see the big picture, you're hands on, able to deal with pressure, and juggle the varied timelines of different projects simultaneously. Alongside your event expertise you'll have experience of wider marketing communications, with the skills to deliver their monthly salesforce newsletter (collate content, manage changes, write/proof read, manage the print supplier). You'll enjoy working in a pro-active and busy environment, are able to juggle multiple projects, and are someone who can 'get' brand culture and the objectives of events, able to work with scripts, presentations, recognition aspects.

Key requirements:
  • Experienced Events specialist, with some Marketing communications experience alongside
  • 5 years minimum event management experience, including full end to end delivery of varied internal events, conferences, seminars, international incentive trips etc
  • Experience working with event suppliers, production agencies, dmcs
  • Some experience working on internal marketing campaigns and communications, including collateral (print) production (eg newsletter)
  • Excellent organisational skill, able to manage multiple projects with different time lines simultaneously
  • Ideally experience within a sales-focussed organisation, understanding of recognition, incentives etc
  • Confident communicator, with good leadership skills, and able to work as part of a team
  • Pro-active, confident, enthusiastic, on the ball, highly organised, excellent communicator
