Sales Executive
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Sales and Marketing Manager (Commercial Events) to join an exclusive arts centre and corporate events venue. The venue has undergone a multi-million pound rebuild and the space will become available for commercial events from 2019. The space will hold bookings ranging from award ceremonies, conferences, private events, product launches.

The venue has an in-house catering business and the successful candidate will be responsible for securing both venue hire and catering sales for all spaces within the venue.

Working closely with the Head of Marketing and Communications you will promote and help grow the venue's commercial events business by proactively building relationships with high-value clients to promote the space and secure sales.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales and Marketing
  • Proactively work towards achieving annual commercial events sales targets by leading marketing and communications for venue hire and catering business - sell venue to new and existing clients. The role will pitch, present and proactively/reactively sell, maximising conversions and working to achieve sales targets.
  • Proactively manage the venue's Events Marketing and PR Agency ensuring relationship is effective and strategic
  • Develop and deliver a strong sales and marketing plan
  • Lead the on-going development of marketing collateral
  • Proactively explore business development opportunities - upselling/cross selling
  • Explore and establish new corporate and agency prospects
  • Seek out potential markets to optimise commercial revenue
  • Lead show-rounds of the space whilst actively promoting the venue's facilities
  • Lead on the organisation of in-house showcase or networking events

Sales Operations
  • Lead the sales process from first point of contact through to show-rounds and confirmation
  • Represent the venue at networking and key industry events
  • Attend events/tastings
  • Streamline the sales process
