Job Details
This well established agency is recruiting for a Technical Manager to join their in-house Live events production team based in Surrey.
As a Technical Manager you will be responsible for the provision of all technical services including; liaison with the client and client management; provision of design and production across all projects; presentation management and budgeting & financial control of projects.

As a Technical Manager you will be responsible for the provision of all technical services including; liaison with the client and client management; provision of design and production across all projects; presentation management and budgeting & financial control of projects.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Research and identify appropriate suppliers
- Manage vendor processes, select, negotiate terms and manage appropriate suppliers
- Review contractual terms and ensure all agreements are signed by both the supplier and the approver
- Set up and attend site visits/demos/appraisals/new product introductions
- Update suppliers of changes in specifications and legal or H&S requirements
- Agree and approve payment of deposit schedules
- Communicate supplier information
- Monitor and confirm all subsequent changes prior to going on-site
- Confirm budget approval/revisions and client sign off prior to event
- Review invoicing/currency/exchange and local taxing procedure. Oversee financial direction and control of event
- Ensure conformance to the agreed standards, regulations and guidelines for venues
- Obtain accurate brief and communicate appropriately to team
- Provide logistical, audio-visual and stage set design and theme & supply relevant information for the proposal
- Review and feedback logistical & technical information for proposed venues and room use and highlight known areas of concern
- Ensure accurate on-site information is compiled and where appropriate, issue call-sheet with production schedule and load list, agendas, location maps, floor plan/set plots, logistics information etc.
- Prepare and provide CAD/drawing package layouts for all project floor plans and venue plansCandidates must have experience of working within the corporate events sector on a wide variety of events with varied technical needs.
