Fantastic permanent job vacancy with a leading London membership association for a bright and super-organised B2B Conference & Events Assistant!

COMPANY
A highly regarded medical association (and venue and publisher) with a huge and wide-reaching membership base. Stunning offices and headquarters located bang in the middle of central London.

ROLE
Reporting in to the Head of the Conference & Events Unit, you will be part of a small events team that organize a range of UK events for their members including 1-5 day conferences, seminars, training courses, focus groups, workshops, receptions, gala dinners and evening networking events.
Your main responsibilities will be to assist and support the events team in the planning and delivery of all these events and you will also provide substantial administrative support to the Head of the Conference & Events department. This role will include office as well as on-site events work with a specific focus on delegate registration coordination and running the registration desk onsite at events. Responsibilities will include:

  • Event Management assistance & support
  • Delegate registration
  • Event administration
  • Database management
  • Financial administration
  • On-site event assistance
  • On-site registration desk coordination
  • Post event reconciliation

CANDIDATE
Candidates wishing to apply need around 1 year of B2B conference and events experience ideally gained form working for a membership association.
Excellent time management and organisational skills are essential and candidates must have exceptional attention to detail as well as good interpersonal and communication skills. A can-do attitude and a proactive and hardworking approach are very important and candidates should have strong IT, delegate registration and data-entry skills. A degree or diploma in Event Management would be advantageous (but not vital).
