Truly fabulous ASAP start opportunity for a highly organised Event Co-ordinator to work on varied prestigious events - at one of London's most unique and historical venues. (asap start 5 month contract - salary + overtime)

THE ORGANISATION
Unique prestigious London Institution based at very special historical Grade 1 listed London venue - have a busy programme of events from lunches and dinners, to special visits and events.

THE ROLE
You'll be joining a busy and friendly events team working across a range of events - in particular your role will focus on special committee events, including lunches, dinners and high profile guest visits, as well as helping on a range of corporate special events that take place at the Organisation's iconic venue home. You'll be dealing direct with internal stake-holders/committee members, and working end to end to deliver their events (all in London).

Key Responsibilities include:
  • End to end event management of varied events (in central London, high use of livery halls) - including lunches, dinners, special visits and 'committee' events
  • Manage Guest Lists, seating plans, all pre-event organisation, catering quotes and suppliers etc
  • Work in partnership with rest of event team, to give varied event co-ordination support over varied logistically focused tasks on their events (awards, special events, gala dinners, banquets)
  • Liaise directly with senior level committee members (internal stakeholders) as to their event requirements
  • On-site delivery of events


THE CANDIDATE
You'll be a highly organised, smart and articulate events co-ordinator with existing experience within corporate events with a high focus on hospitality events (eg dinners, special functions). You'll be experienced in liaising with your internal stakeholders to take the brief for an event, from venue find, guest list and management, catering, set up, table plans etc. It is a prestigious organisation and you will therefore be working on some very high profile formal events at some equally prestigious venues - so you'll love achieving the highest possible quality levels of event execution, with the necessary exacting level of attention to detail. You'll have excellent communication skills to deal with a wide range of people, supported by your very high levels of customer service, maturity and great attention to detail. Strengths as a team player, excellent interpersonal skills and computer literacy are essential, as is excellent experience co-ordinating relevant event suppliers, internal and external. Also someone flexible, happy to help others on individual event tasks for their events, as well as co-ordinating your own events.

Key requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills, with excellent standard of English, both written and oral
  • Event co-ordination experience (min 3 years) within a corporate or association or similar relevant sector
  • Varied supplier liaison experience (internal and external) across all aspects of event hospitality, including catering, operations, entertainment, florists etc
  • Smart professional appearance as this role includes working at formal and high profile events
  • Confident, able to cope well and calmly under pressure, tactful and discrete
  • As this is a contract role, we are looking for someone flexible, confident with excellent proven event co-ordination skills, and who would really enjoy working within a busy events team on highly detailed events
