Exhibition Portfolio Director

A well known Exhibition Organiser based in London seeks a senior exhibition professional to head up a market leading exhibition in the UK as Portfolio Director. The role will involve creating and executing an ambitious strategy that continually develops the show and looks at new revenue streams. Managing a sales team to exceed their targets, you will build relationships with key exhibitors, media and associations and become the face of the industry. You will need to build an acute understanding of the product sector and create and gain approval for business cases for the continued development of your products and any new launches.

Other Key Accountabilities

• Recruitment of an exceptional sales team that shares your ambition to overachieve
• Set stretching sales targets and continually manage your sales team to maximise revenue
• Ensure pipelines and future sales indicators are rigorously maintained
• Work closely with international sales partners and colleagues to drive international sales
• Take mitigating action to address under performance
• Marshalling of all centralised resources to deliver your events (Operations, Content, Marketing)
• Accurate forecasting and budget management with good visibility of major shifts to ensure no surprises
• Constantly review team resources to ensure we have sufficient to deliver growth objectives.

You must have extensive exhibition sales experience, with the gravitas to effectively manage senior level relationships. You will have experience of setting objectives for the team and understand how to constantly review team performance.
