Job Details

Fantastic opportunity for graduates in politics, journalism, media, policy, communications, education or business to develop their programming skills within the Conferences/Events industry!

THE COMPANY

Niche commercial conferencing company (part of a leading and well-established organisation providing unrivalled insight and intelligence across the spheres of politics, public policy and public affairs). Stunning offices in the heart of London and a large events team that produce top-level policy briefings and summits.

THE ROLE

If you're ambitious, confident and a good communicator with amazing research skills and a strong desire to learn then we've got an exciting opportunity for a Graduate who already has a bit of business/commercial work experience behind them.

This role will see you join a high profile commercial conferencing organisation as a Junior Conference Producer working primarily across the politics, public policy and public affairs sectors and in areas such as education, children's services, community safety, local government, housing, transport and environment on industry leading policy briefings, conferences and summits.

As the Junior Conference Producer (Policy Briefing Manager) you'll be focussing on developing the intellectual content and topics for an event. This role has research at its core - identifying topics for a summit, conference or policy briefing event - and will involve in-depth market research as well as putting together a commercially viable conference agenda. As part of this, you'll also be tasked with finding and recruiting speakers who will be of interest to your target audience. So, in a nutshell, your role will be to research and create current, exciting and commercially viable programmes within a particular industry and this will be in-depth research and definitely much more than simple Google searching! As Conference Producer you'll talk to key players to find out what's hot and trending in the sector and develop networking and knowledge opportunities for delegates.

YOU

To apply for this Graduate / Junior Conference Producer role you'll need to be educated to degree level (2.1 & above) in a research/academic subject, have an analytical and curious mind, enjoy research and have good commercial acumen. You'll also need strong communication skills to engage and persuade stakeholders, business leaders & ministers, speakers and industry professionals at all levels and a general interest in events, conferences & communications. It's highly advantageous for graduates to already have undertaken an internship or have worked in a business environment.

This is a superb first job (and permanent role!) with excellent earning potential and career development opportunities for a tenacious, curious and commercially driven politics, journalism, media, policy, communications, education or business graduate who loves in-depth research and writing and would enjoy liaising and working with business leaders, speakers and key influencers worldwide on interesting and relevant topics and agendas!

If your experience matches the key requirements and responsibilities as listed above, please reflect these in your CV and click "Apply" now.
