Senior Events Team Manager

A dynamic educational institute in London seeks an experienced Senior Events Team Manager to manage the team that deliver a portfolio of around 30 events a year from within their Marcomms department. As a Senior member of the team, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the development of the events strategy for the organisation, ensuring maximum ROI on top tier events. You will also be responsible for developing strong relationships with internal key stake holders, ensuring they are advised on the calendar of events These events will include high level sponsored speaker series, conferences, breakfast meetings, receptions and community events. You will be managing an experienced team of event professionals, so you will need extensive experience at management level.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the events team to deliver a portfolio of high profile events on time and budget
• Contribute to business strategy ensuring that the event strategy is in line with the department strategy
• Oversee drafting and development of content briefs for use in event campaigns
• Monitor the quality of work delivered by third-party event suppliers and agencies
• Research and keep up to date with industry and technological advancements and trends and use these to ensure that innovative and effective event solutions are developed
• Act as a brand champion and ensure that the logo and brand is being using correctly on event campaigns
• Lead evaluation on events to ensure the success of the event against key performance indicators
• Overall responsibility for department strategy

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience of leading/playing a part in innovative projects, campaigns or initiatives and will also hold a Bachelors degree or equivalent.
