We have an amazing opportunity to work on a brilliant team that organises events for the largest primary healthcare media brands in the UK.

The Role
As Junior Marketing Executive you will be given responsibility for your own conference portfolio across one of our healthcare brands. Working closely with an Event Producer and Logistics Manager your role will be to maximising attendance at Cogora’s free events.

We are looking for a Marketing Assistant or Trainee who wants to make the next step in their career, taking on the management of their own events.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will be trained on all elements of the marketing plan, from analytics and campaign strategy, to social media and budget management. Bringing what you have gained from current experience, you will develop into an all-round event marketer, with an understanding of each marketing channel.

You will be involved in the creation, optimisation and distribution of content across all our marketing channels and be given the responsibility to achieve targets and report back on the performance of your event.

The primary responsibilities for this role are:

  • Executing marketing campaigns
  • Creation and implementation of marketing plans
  • Management of marketing budgets
  • Creating briefs for designers for marketing collateral
  • Maintaining websites and monitoring website analytics
  • Supporting each event with an engaging social media campaign including LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook
  • Copywriting including emails, websites, text messages, flyers etc
  • Targeting marketing collateral to the appropriate data segments
  • Creating, proofing and scheduling email campaigns through ExactTarget email platform
  • Managing placement of ads in magazines, websites and newsletters
  • Identifying and building contra relationships with appropriate third parties to assist in the generation of brand awareness and delegate registrations 
  • Delegate liaison including taking registrations and dealing with queries specific to your events 
  • Post event analysis and generation of press releases
  • Analysis of marketing campaigns – trend reports, email analysis, performance reports
  • Occasional attendance at events to assist on site within the UK

Key Skills

  • 1-year conference marketing experience required, ideally in healthcare but not essential
  • An understanding of copywriting for events
  • Excellent all-round communication skills
  • Highly organised
  • Independent problem solving and logical thinking
  • Outgoing personality with a confident and highly professional manner
  • Attention to detail and proactive attitude
  • Ability to manage and prioritise own workload and still deliver first class results
  • Experience of a CMS system and customer database is required
