This independent and fast growing FMCG brand is recruiting for an Events Manager to join their Marketing team. This newly created position will be pivotal in expanding the brand's reach into new categories and the acquisition of new customers within the sport and fitness arena. You will be primarily responsible for creating and delivering an innovative annual calendar of B2B and B2C events and work with other members of the marketing to team to ensure that maximum product exposure is achieved during the campaigns.



Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver an events calendar for the UK and international markets
  • Manage the planning, booking and production of all events- Both B2C and B2B
  • Strategically planning the right events to attend with the Marketing Team
  • Taking budget responsibility for events
  • Working closely with the content managers to analyse the performance of the events and report back to the Marketing team
  • Working alongside third-party agencies to deliver "best in class" events
  • Have a continuous competitor analysis/ product knowledge
  • Working alongside the marketing team and sales team on opportunities that align to the marketing and sales vision
  • Working closely with the category team to understand consumer trends and motivation and ensuring such information is briefed to the wider marketing team and reflected in highly engaging campaigns.




Key Skills/Experience Required:
  • An interest or passion for sport
  • Experience working at Events Manager level for an agency or brand delivering B2C experiential marketing events within FMCG
  • A proven track record of successfully planning and delivering integrated events.
  • An exposure to digital and social media strategies
  • An understanding of media buying across multiple channels
  • Budget management and responsibility with the ability to be both and tactical and strategic
