This eCommerce software specialist is recruiting for a Head of Events to develop their flagship conference and create a further series of market leading events across a range of formats. Joining a highly successful and innovative business, the Head of Events will work closely with the Marketing team to create an engaging event programme with the best speakers and sponsors for the industry. This role will also take responsibility for the strategic management and development of the annual events calendar, ensuring suppliers and other vendors are offering the best services and events are delivering on projected ROI.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Source, coordinate, negotiate, and liaise with venues and third party suppliers to deliver high-quality, on-brand events.
  • Work with and expand the network of expert speakers and sponsors, and coordinate them in the run-up to the event.
  • Drive attendance for events in collaboration with sales and marketing to ensure profitability and also that attendees are relevant prospects and clients.
  • Operations and logistics - coordinate staffing and on-the-day logistics to ensure events run smoothly.
  • Produce detailed event budgets, ensuring the best deals are negotiated and deliver events within budget.
  • Ensure that all events contribute to overall sales and marketing objectives, measuring the success of each event, and using results to optimise the future events calendar.


Essential skills and experience:
  • Previous events experience working within technology, ecommerce or a related area.
  • Experience managing large budgets
  • Experience delivering B2B events
  • Third party management
  • Leadership - you are able to motivate and coordinate people
