Operations Manager

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced event operations professional with 2 years+ experience to join a fast growing niche membership and events business that operates globally. The role includes sourcing, negotiation with and liaison with all conference venues and suppliers as well as on-site management of conferences within the post-holders portfolio.

The role will require a dynamic individual with prior event operations experience capable of excelling in a forward-facing role managing and liaising with suppliers, venues, clients and attendees and who is looking for a role in a growth environment and ready for their next challenge. International travel throughout Europe and the Middle East is a requirement of the role.



Key Responsibilities

• Liaison with venues in the run-up to an event to finalise all aspects of venue set-up, catering, timings, people flow, etc.

• Manage all attendees of the events including confirmed speakers, attendees and sponsors

• Running the event on-site including all aspects of set up (overseeing the set build, sound checking etc.), final document collation, running the registration desk and the main meeting room, keeping the event to time, ensuring that the venue staff and caterers are all briefed and managed carefully.
• Liaison with other divisions within the company to ensure all relevant materials and product is available throughout each event.
• Conducting venue final brief once the team arrive get on-site the day before the event.
• Use software packages to manage the in-event app, networking tools etc.

The successful candidate will be a proven achiever, have outstanding communication and organisational skills, demonstrate ability to manage and stay within budgets, have a keen eye for detail and importantly relish being the first point of contact for many of our network before during and immediately after the events.
