Introduction

DesignScene is an international creative production agency with offices in London, New York and Los Angeles. We produce a broad range of creative projects with clients including Amazon, ITV, Molton Brown, Hulu, Snapchat, Oath, Conde Nast, Shutterstock, Advertising Week and MediaLink

Our focus is creativity with a practical head – we offer creative solutions for our clients that fit within budget and within brief and are always looking to push creative boundaries, try new products, processes and materials and create industry talking points

Our team is made up of a group of 30 hard working, insightful, creative and fun professionals ranging from 3D, graphic and video designers, producers and production managers. Our head office is in Farringdon, London with satellite offices in DUMBO, New York and Santa Monica

We are looking for a full-time, London based Senior Producer / Project Manager who can bring their experience and qualities to enhance our already talented team. They will need to work efficiently across multiple projects with both clients and team members spread across multiple time zones in Europe and the USA

You will be required to travel globally and should have at least 5 years of event industry experience at a senior level. Strong time management, organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for this role

We are a small team so support each other, multi task and are ‘all hands-on deck’ when required

What is the purpose of the job?

  • Generally assigned to lead the larger projects (UK and overseas) with support from the rest of the project team
  • The planning, execution, and reconciliation of projects from initial brief
  • Responsibility for maintaining and development of client relationships
  • Managing the scope of the project through the triple constraints of cost, time, and quality
  • Full responsibility of costs associated to projects and timely invoicing of clients and payment of suppliers
  • Contracting and managment of external suppliers
  • Maintaining the high project management standards of DesignScene
  • Leadership of the more junior project team members (US and UK), assisting them with their projects and giving them direction when assisting on your projects

What are the skills required?

  • 5+ year events experince leading large scale projects
  • Understanding of creative, design and production technology and ability to recognise and acknowledge suitable products and suppliers
  • Outstanding communication skills with clients, internal teams and suppliers
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • A flexible approach with the ability to multi task (run more than one event at once)
  • Proven time management skills and ability to work effectively across time zones
  • Work well under pressure and deal with ambiguity
  • The ability to identify and manage risk
  • Quick thinking, intuitive and analytical
  • Detailed – it’s all in the detail – on site execution, budgets, plans, schedules

What technical knowledge do you need?

  • Competent use of Google Apps, Microsoft Office, Apple Keynote, Dropbox and Slack
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings
  • Experience in PROCIM a bonus
