Job Details
A leading professional association based in central London is seeking an experienced Event Officer who will be responsible for project management, all logistical arrangements and financial management of all assigned events while providing a high level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders. This will be a fast paced role, organising up to 60 events a year, including seminars, training courses and networking receptions for members.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for the organisation and execution of up 60 event projects a year with an average planning cycle of four months.
* Dealing with delegate queries (phone and email).
* Upload website content and keep information up to date.
* Write copy for e-newsletters, website, emails, formal invites and external advertising
* Create and report post event using delegate questionnaires.
* Ensure delegates and speakers have been provided with the correct and relevant event information
* Communicate with venue staff in the lead up to the event and on the day and so that they perform well onsite
* Ensure the onsite AV team have all relevant presentations and speaker information, and all other suppliers (DMC's, entertainment/coaching etc.)
The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a busy events team.
You will be a confident communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills who will be able to represent the organisation professionally at all times. You will have experience of using the full range of Microsoft Office packages and other databases. Above all, a person who is comfortable and flexible enough to juggle many projects simultaneously while demonstrating the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
