Event And Engagement Manager

A high profile industry body that works in partnership with a skills council, to encourage training and building a safe professional and fully qualified workforce, seeks an experienced Events and Engagement Manager to lead and implement a new engagement model through online learning, meetings and events. This role will require a strategic mind, to develop a new approach to communicating with industry stakeholders, employers, colleges and individuals thinking of working in this industry and then overseeing the delivery of employer and stakeholder events across Great Britain.

You will lead a team to deliver multiple employer and stakeholder engagement events including conferences, roadshows, leaders breakfast briefings, debating panels, webinars and their presence at industry exhibitions. You will work with the Executive team to implement the strategic external and internal messages and translate them into presentations, scripts and briefings to use at events to raise the profile of the organisation in a tailored and consistent manner. Working with internal departments, you will be identifying the opportunities for maximum message delivery and two way engagement and will ensure that internal and external resources are deployed effectively and efficiently to meet strategic communications plans.

Educated to Degree level, you will have demonstrable experience of managing multiple events and projects as well as a small team. You will have experience of translating strategy into communication messages and have a high level of writing and content development skills. You will have had experience of managing budgets and resources effectively.
This role can be based in Peterborough or London and will require travel around the UK on a regular basis.
