Job Details

A global events company focusing on commercial conferences is looking for an Event Manager to join their team. The Event Manager will be responsible for planning events logistics and managing on-the-day delivery of events on a portfolio of Global and Local events. This includes all pre-event planning; sourcing and managing suppliers; liaison with all conference speakers and sponsors; and on-site logistics, including management of the on-site team.



Key Responsibilities
  • All pre-event logistics and planning for the event.
  • Attending project management meetings, and reporting progress to project team, for your allocated events.
  • Creatively generating ideas and themes to maximise events experience.
  • Accurately tracking conference spending against budget (signing off with Head of Department).
  • Booking staff travel and accommodation (European events).
  • Keeping Salesforce updated with all event information.
  • Managing the implementation of all sponsorship packages ensuring all deliverables are met. This includes exhibition arrangements, speaking packages, managing speaker guest invitations, and any add-ons.
  • Preparation of conference documentation and pre-event speaker technical running order
  • On-site management of speakers alongside the Conference Producer.
  • Liaising with venue: selecting menus, confirming floorplans and preparing detailed running order document containing all the event requirements.
  • Supplier sourcing, negotiation and liaison for conference equipment (incl. branded products, furniture hire, outside catering, entertainment etc).
  • Management of all suppliers on-site and deliveries (venue, caterers, furniture, AV etc.)




The job is very diverse and requires outstanding organisation skills, a calm mentality under pressure and an enthusiastic, pro-active attitude to work. The Successful candidate will have 2-3 year's experience running events, particularly from a conference background,be educated to 2:1 degree level and the ability to manage a demanding workload of multiple projects simultaneously.
