Are you a passionate, experienced and creative marketeer who is able to deliver imaginative and effective campaigns that meet ticket sales targets? Do you have a proven track record in the coordination of integrated communications strategies? If so, Nesta is looking for an Event Marketing Manager to spearhead the marketing and communications activity of a world-class programme of content.
About Nesta
Nesta is a global innovation foundation. We back new ideas to tackle the big challenges of our time. Our mission is to spark and shape new ideas that improve how the world works for everyone. We use our knowledge, networks, funding and skills - working in partnership with others, including governments, businesses and charities. We are a UK charity but work all over the world, supported by a financial endowment.
Our events programme helps us to engage audiences, spread new ideas, and bring different people together to shape innovation for social good. FutureFest is Nesta’s flagship festival and is part of a broader programme of experimental events, presenting a blend of talks, debates, installations and immersive experiences to an interdisciplinary audience spanning a diverse range of sectors. The programme explores different versions of the future, and creates a space for more optimistic, challenging, and enlivening views of what may lie ahead.
About this exciting opportunity
You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering an integrated communications plan that meets our targets for ticket sales and ensures that as many people as possible engage with FutureFest content online. This will involve building the marketing and ticketing strategy, co-ordinating the delivery of the communications aspects of the event programme, and acting as brand champion. You will also work closely with colleagues to support the marketing of Nesta events beyond FutureFest.
What we’re looking for
An exceptional, experienced communicator, you thrive on working as part of a fast-paced team and are a natural leader who is able to work closely with colleagues to bring all of their skills and talents together to develop and execute impactful campaigns. You’re able to think creatively about how to target and connect with particular audiences and have the flair and writing skills required to create the right content that will inspire and engage people. It goes without saying that you’re an adept project manager used to procuring, negotiating and managing internal and external suppliers and sponsors, and that you have proven experience in events marketing.
