Job Details
An interesting not-for-profit organisation based in Central London seeks a strategic Corporate Events Manager to head up the events team to deliver both corporate and consumer events for their members, which include high level conferences theatre style events, dinners, lunches, political events and social/networking events in the UK and some overseas events as well.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have extensive events experience, including developing event concept ideas through to delivery and developing event strategies. You will need an understanding of creating and researching event content and be a strong relationship builder with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. An understanding of the retail sector would be desirable.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the formation - concept through to delivery - of a portfolio of 40-50 events per year
- Work with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to identify the objectives, messaging and KPIs for events with members, partners and stakeholders.
- Bring new ideas and innovation to their events approach, ensuring a professional and engaging experience that supports their brand and vision.
- Create and oversee an events strategy that improves engagement with members, partners and stakeholders, driving member satisfaction and a positive perception
- Developing dynamic and innovative content and sourcing appropriate and engaging speakers.
- Managing the marketing, social media and communications around events to ensure maximum reach and impact.
- Lead on all aspects of the event process; planning, logistics, budget management.
- Highlight opportunities and/or risks ahead of time for effective delivery of yearly plan.
- Ensure the training and development of the Events and CRM Executive to a highly professional level to motivate them and develop their skill-set to support events and company as a whole.
- Use monthly one-on-one meetings, performance reviews and target setting to support the External Affairs team and provide clarity and feedback on expectations and delivery.
- Monitor and review the events budget with monthly forecasting and variance reporting.
- Oversee contracts and relationships with third party providers and venues and ensure value for money and first-class customer service to members, partners and stakeholders.
