An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Marketing Manager for a world leading exhibition organiser, working across their

flagship consumer portfolio with over 70,000 attendees. Your challenge will be to create, produce and deliver ground breaking marketing campaigns whilst helping to achieve the strategic business objectives across the portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing successful campaigns for large scale B2C exhibitions, with experience of managing large show/ project teams. You will be financially aware, with a thorough understanding of the full range of marketing communication tools and must be keen to go out and build relationships with media and associations.

Main responsibilities include:
  • Create, manage and deliver marketing communications campaigns raising £M's of ticket revenue across the group
  • To achieve stated show objectives
  • Oversee the organisation of promotional activities, ensuring they are carried out efficiently and within agreed budgets
  • Coordinate all marketing plans and activities with other managers and staff to ensure that the plans are delivered effectively
  • Manage the marketing communications team (including agencies and temporary staff) to ensure it is motivated and trained to carry out its responsibilities in achieving objectives
  • Develop the digital marketing strategy via all channels and keep up to date with this fast moving communications platform - building strong show communities
  • Lead negotiation with all suppliers to ensure highest levels of delivery most cost-effectively
  • Manage, monitor, maintain and regularly review relationships with suppliers to ensure highest levels of service are continuously delivered
  • Gather crucial market intelligence to aid the show's growth and protect it from competitive attack
  • Develop and maintain systems and processes which enable the team to carry out and report on its activities efficiently and effectively
  • Provide Marketing Management with on-going and post campaign effectiveness reports and recommend on-going improvements
  • Remain up-to-date with the latest communications tools and continuously assess their deployment to improve marketing effectiveness including social media
  • Promote a culture of testing and change to continuously drive improvement
  • Manage and monitor budgets, provide accurate forecasts and feed into the budget setting process
  • Manage and deliver all aspects of the showguide, working with appointed contractor/s if appropriate
  • Manage and deliver all sponsor and partner agreements and benefits - delivering all contractual agreements for marketing and overseeing operational commitment
